THIS IS A PIC FROM THE ACTUAL BUNNY LOVE GIG IN QUESTION. THE DUDE ON THE MIC IS HISHAM BHAROOCHA WHO WOULD GO ON TO ANNOY THE FUCK OUT OF ME IN SUPPORT OF...GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR (COINCIDENCE) IN TORONTO IN 2003. THIS WAS IN HIS CAPACITY AS A MEMBER OF BLACK DICE. HE WASN'T JUST RANDOMLY PISSING ME OFF. I LIKE BLACK DICE NOW, DON'T WRITE IN.
WORD IS THAT THE CONTENTS (I HAVEN'T HEARD IT YET - I EVEN FIRED UP THAT LIVING ARCHIVE OF PRE-2010 CALLED SOULSEEK TO GRAB IT, BUT NO DICE) AREN'T AS STRAIGHTFORWARD AS THEY SOUND. I PASS YOU TO NOTSAVEDJR ON DISCOGS
I have this...or one like it...in typical LB fashion, they were recorded on different cassettes with different artwork, but yes, the same music...
It's not all live from the 'Bunny Love' party, but does have at least one live track from it., and what sounds like about 6 other tracks from various recording sessions \ live \ etc...
As you can imagine, it's really noisy and a bit difficult to tell the sources for each tune, but Chippendale stated this when I asked him about it:
"Hisham sings on some of it. Should be some 4 track and some walkman recordings. I think I tried to write the person who was getting its name on each one I made. I doubt I made that many but here's mine (pictured above)...oh and PS it's not a "Demo Tape" it's just a tape. It's a release. "Demo" always sounds like you are trying to use it to get to somewhere or get it rereleased somewhere but we were most definitely not doing that. The first song is our first one with Hisham ever, I think it was called "1,2,3,4,5,6", live at the first "Bunny Love" party, a short lived series of shows way back in Providence."
WE WILL UPDATE IF THIS TAPE BECOMES AVAILABLE. MY GENERAL IMPRESSION IS THAT THIS VERY MUCH A NASCENT PERIOD FOR THE FAMED BAND AND I AM NOT EXACTLY TREATING THIS LIKE THE HOLY GRAIL. STILL. FOR COMPLETION'S SAKE.
